Josh Pate of 247Sports releases Virginia Tech player ratings for College Football 25 video game

With each passing day, we are getting closer and closer to the release of the College Football '25 video game from EA Sports. This has been a very hyped-up game for some reasons and we are less than a week away from the official release on July 19.

Earlier this week, the game dropped the new-look Virginia Tech uniforms, which forced the school to release them one day early and it's safe to say that the returns were very good for the Nike new threads. Saturday, Josh Pate of 247Sports released some program's overall ratings in the new game, including Virginia Tech's.

There are several members of the Hokies who committed to returning to Blacksburg for the 2024 campaign and as good as they are on the field, they ranked very well according to EA Sports in the video game.

Dorian Strong has an overall ranking of 91, which was released earlier this week when the list of the Top 100 was revealed. After that, a lot of Hokies fans were wondering just where some of the other players ended up and Pate had those answers.

Quarterback Kyron Drones has an overall ranking of 86 and is a signal caller who can hurt defenses with both his running ability and throwing. He'll have the services this season of Old Dominion transfer Ali Jennings, who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2 against Purdue last fall, and has an overall rating of 87. Defensive back Mansoor Delane has an overall rating of 87 and defensive lineman Antwaun Powell-Ryland has an OVR of 88.

Virginia Tech fans are looking forward to the 2024 seaso beginning on Labor Day Weekend in Nashville against Vanderbilt, but they will get a taste of the Hokies in the video game beginning this week with some players getting some much-deserved ratings.
