The EA Sports release of the anticipated College Football '25 is just nine days away on July 19. Slowly, EA Sports is releasing information about the big game over the last few weeks including stadium rankings, sights, and sounds, this week, they are releasing more things, including players' rankings.

EA Sports released their Top 100 players for the game and one member of Virginia Tech made the list with Dorian Strong coming in at No. 66. One of the leaders of the Hokies' secondary, Strong decided last December along with Mansoor Delane to return to Blacksburg for the 2024 season rather than declare for the NFL Draft this past April in Detroit.

Last season for Virginia Tech, the Upper Marlboro, Maryland native registered 25 tackles, 18 solo and three interceptions. Two of those interceptions were recorded in one game against Boston College in November on the road. Strong intercepted BC quarterback Thomas Castellanos on the game's first play, the latter in the first quarter. He picked off a deep ball and both picks led points for the Hokies which secured a 48-22 rout of the Eagles for their first road victory of the season and helped them clinch a bowl berth two weeks later with a road win at Virginia where he was credited with four tackles.

Virginia Tech EA Sports College Football '25 snubs

Did the Hokies get snubbed with just one Top 100 player in the video game? Antwaun Powell-Ryland or Aeneas Peebles could have cracked the Top 100 players and both will be key parts of the Virginia Tech defensive line in 2024. Quarterback Kyron Drones, coming off of the 2023 season he had stepping in for Grant Wells could have also been under consideration as well. You can also make the case that Strong was underrated in the game coming in at No. 66.
