Who are the announcers for Virginia Tech at Stanford?
By Scott Roche
The Virginia Tech football team will be looking to end the first half of their 2024 schedule on a winning note before heading into their first of two byes this season. The Hokies are heading West to California for their first-ever ACC matchup against Stanford in the Bay Area.
When the schedule was released, the one big question was what time this game time going to be. It wouldn’t have been surprising to see them kick off anytime between 3:30 in the afternoon to 10:30 Virginia time. A late-night snack in California. In the end, Hokies fans are getting a very favorable kick time of 3:30 and the game will be broadcast on the ACC Network.
Who are the announcers for Virginia Tech vs. Stanford?
With a mid-afternoon broadcast on the ACC Network, for the second time this season, Virginia Tech fans are going to get a crew calling the game that they heard just two short weeks ago when Rutgers visited Blacksburg for the final non-conference game of the season.
Chris Cotter will be handling the play-by-play duties with former Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich the analyst and Coley Harvey handling the sideline duties. If you turned into the 26-23 loss to the Scarlet Knights, this was a pretty good broadcast by this trio.
Aside from this game being available on the ACC Network, you can still catch it if you are not home. You can also watch it on ESPN.com and the ESPN app, two streaming options. This is a big game for Virginia Tech as when they board the plane to return home late Saturday night, having a 3-3 record will feel a lot better than 2-4 and needing to go 4-2 after their first bye to become bowl-eligible. They don’t get a full two weeks off as they will host Boston College on Oct. 17, a Thursday night battle at Lane Stadium.
