Florida State & Clemson staying in the ACC....... for now?

All of the talk over Florida State and Clemson and what the future holds for them in the ACC may have gotten a little more clear. According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, multiple sources have told him that FSU and Clemson are not planning on informing the conference by Aug. 15 that they will be leaving the ACC in 2025. That is the set date for either school to declare their intentions.

There have been a number of rumors lately surrouding both schools and the ACC, but it appears, for now, that they are stickign around. Of course, in this day and age, this is all subject to change at any second before Aug. 15.

New York Yankees sign Brady Kirtner

At last week's MBL Draft in Texas, five members of the 2024 Virginia Tech baseball team were selected. Carson DeMartini was selected in the fourth round by the Philadelphia Phillies, Wyatt Parliament was picked in the seventh round by the Yankees, Eddie Micheletti was taken in the eighth round by the Toronto Blue Jays, Jordan Little was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 15th round before Christian Martin was picked in the 18th round by the St. Louis Cardinals.

One player who was not selected was pitcher Brady Kirtner and he'll be joining Parliament in the Yankees organization after agreeing to an undrafted deal. He went 7-0 in 2024 for Virginia Tech with a 4.30 ERA. He was previously drafted by the New York Mets in 2023 but did not sign before playing out his senior season in Blacksburg this past spring.
