Virginia Tech CB Mansoor Delane announced his future with the Hokies

Virginia Tech cornerback Mansoor Delane is another Hokies player who has made a decision in 2024 and it's good news for head coach Brent Pry.

Decisions are being made quickly in Blacksburg and for the most part, all of them have been positive. Friday, another decision on Virginia Tech football players was made and again, it was a very positive for head coach Brent Pry and the Hokies coaching staff.

Less than 24 hours after cornerback Dorian Strong announced he was coming back in 2024, Mansoor Delane announced on X that's also returning.

Delane has a very good 2023 season for the Hokies in 11 games with 47 tackles, 28 of those were solo and he had an interception in the final game of the season at Virginia. He had a season-high eight tackles against Purdue and North Carolina State and he had six in a 30-13 victory over Wake Forest at Lane Stadium.

For the most part, all the news out of Blacksburg in regards to 2024 continues to be very positive. Defensively, Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Josh Fuga, and Strong have announced that they're coming back, and offensively, quarterback Kyron Drones and wide receivers Jaylin Lane, Stephen Gosnell, Da'Quan Felton, and Ali Jennings have all said that they're coming back next fall.

Delane,referred to the foundation that's being built by head coach Brent Pry and his staff and Blacksburg and you can tell how strong it's getting with the decisions of the players to return. Four players who have entered the transfer portal have committed to finishing the job with the Hokies in the Military Bowl on Dec. 27 against Tulane in Annapolis.

Thursday Virginia Tech got a commitment from offensive lineman Montavious Cunningham from Georgia State for next season to fill a need and this weekend the Hokies are hosting a number of recruits in an attempt to add to a roster that is looking very promising for 2024.
