Virginia Tech priority DB hints at potential landing spot with social media post

This would not be a surprising landing spot for this star safety from North Carolina.

Recruiting is done for the spring, and the next time visits can officially take place, it'll be once the 2025 season kicks off in late August. Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry hosted a slew of recruits in the Class of 2026 over the last month, and one of them, Nick Reddish, may have dropped a hint before his commitment.

Nick Reddish, the younger brother of current Hokies Quentin and Joseph, visited Virginia Tech on June 6, then visited Notre Dame on June 12, a week later. Crystal Ball predictions from 247Sports have been placed on Nick Reddish heading to South Bend, Indiana, to join the Irish, and the three-star may have just hinted at his landing spot with a social media post.

Nick Reddish hints at potential commitment with social media post

You can read into it any way you want, but with the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions and Nick Reddish's social media reaction to another Notre Dame secondary commit, it seems like he's hinting that he will be heading to the Irish.

Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman has been on an absolute heater in recruiting, which isn't surprising, and he recently landed five-star safety Joey O'Brien. Nick Reddish, also a safety, quoted a post that showed three members of the Class of 2026 stating that they are waiting on Reddish to be the last one to commit, with the eye ball emoji.

If this does happen and Nick Reddish does indeed commit to Notre Dame, it would not be surprising. Virginia Tech was seen as a long shot in his recruiting against the Power 4 schools that they were up against. There is still a chance that Nick Reddish makes it a big-time family affair in Blacksburg, and he would be an outstanding get for Pry, but until we learn otherwise, it might end up being Notre Dame when all is said and done.
