Five days into the men's college basketball transfer portal being open, things are quickly heating up with movement. As far as Virginia Tech coach Mike Young goes, it's going to be another busy portal window in terms of building a roster for the 2025-26 season.

After a mass exodus last spring, the Hokies have seen five players enter the portal this season so far and Young has over a half dozen scholarships available to use. He is also reportedly going to have a bigger NIL package to work with, you have to think that Young and his staff will be aggressive with the portal.

There are several highly-touted players that are in the portal, and one of them, a guard from Delaware, recently narrowed his list down to 10 teams, which included Virginia Tech.

Izaiah Pasha narrows portal list down to 10 schools

One of the top freshmen in the CAA this season, Izaiah Pasha, had a strong season for the Fightin' Blue Hens and narrowed his list down to 10 schools, with the Hokies making the cut. Other ACC schools in the mix are Louisville, Virginia, and Wake Forest. He reportedly visited Penn State on Friday.

This season, Pasha averaged 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists a game and shot 52% from the field. He helped Delaware (16-20) have a magical run in the CAA Tournament earlier this month to the Championship Game, where they fell to UNC-Wilmington, 76-72. In the game, he played 39 minutes, scoring 21 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing out seven assists for the Fightin' Blue Hens.

Freshman Ben Hammond had a good rookie season in Blacksburg, but he is the lone returning guard currently after Brandon Rechsteiner entered the portal. The guard position is just one area of need for Young next season and Pasha would fill that need.
