If there is one thing that Virginia Tech fans should get used to under James Franklin, it's that they are going to be in a lot more four and five-star recruits. That is the case with a four-star in-state recruit, offensive tackle Elijah Hutcheson.
According to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals, Hutcheson has a Final 4 of Virginia Tech, Vandervilt, Clemson, and Florida. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Roanoke native is the sixth-ranked player in the Class of 2027 Rivals300 as an offensive tackle. You have to think that the Hokies are going to do everything to keep him home in the Commonwealth with Matt Moore.
According to Rivals, Clemson and offensive line Matt Luke are the favorites to land Hutcheson, with Virginia Tech second. This feels like a recruiting battle the Hokies need to win.
