Don't look now, but we have reached the stage in college football where players are heading to the NFL, but some of them have a path to return to college. Three Ole Miss football players who are in the NFL were granted a fifth-year restraining order.

Former Rebels, Dae'Quan Wright, Zxavian Harris, and Wydett Williams signed with NFL teams and are in training camps. However, if they are released from their team's roster when rosters go from 90 to 53, they'll be allowed to return to college. As you might remember, Wright was at Virginia Tech before he transferred to Ole Miss.

No, he won't be returning to Blacksburg, as the Hokies already have a stacked tight end room for 2026, but where he lands could be interesting.

Virginia Tech softball to play in prestigious early-season tournament

When it comes to scheduling non-conference softball games, Hokies softball coach Pete D'Amour has never been shy about beefing up the schedule. He'll play SEC teams on the road, looking to build up an early-season résumé. That will be the case again in February as Virginia Tech will take part in the 2027 Shriner's Clearwater Invitational.

The 11-team field was announced on Thursday. Joining the Hokies in Florida will be Clemson, East Carolina, Florida State, Liberty, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Central Florida, and Washington. Talk about a loaded field with NCAA Tournament teams. This will be the third time in seven seasons for Virginia Tech in Clearwater, and they are 5-5 all-time in the event.
