Two former Virginia Tech football legends recongized
Two former Virginia Tech football legends were named to the Top 100 players at ESPN at their jersey numbers. To nobody's surprise, Michael Vick was the top player with the No. 7, and defensive end Corey Moore was the top player at No. 56.
While there is little argument that Vick and Moore should be there, former Virginia Tech star Bruce Smith was not selected to wear No. 78. That went to Bryant McKinnie, an offensive tackle from Miami. Joining Smith on the outside looking in were defensive end Bobby Bell from Minnesota and offensive tackle Robert Gallery from Iowa. What a brutal snub.
Virginia Tech adds Deputy Athletic Director
Some big changes are happening in Blacksburg in terms of leadership around the Hokies' athletic program, with Brian White being hired from Florida Atlantic to replace the outgoing Whit Babcock. Virginia Tech announced that they are hiring Ryan Gottlieb as Deputy Athletics Director and Chief Strategy Officer, a newly created role.
