Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry has had it slow in terms of recruiting in the Class of 2026, but one recruit who is a priority recruit in the, Nick Reddish, has set a commitment date, along with his final 4 schools.

The Hokies have made the cut for Reddish, but they are up against three powerhouse programs who might end up having the edge over them in Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Indiana. If we're being honest, there might be one reason why the Hokies are in the final 4 and are the last team on his list.

Virginia Tech makes Final 4 for Nick Reddish

Independence safety Nick Reddish, whose older brothers Quentin and Joseph play for Pry and Virginia Tech, has set a commitment date of July 11 at 5 p.m. The 61st-ranked safety according to 247Sports in the Class of 2026 and the 27th-ranked player in North Carolina, has three Crystal Ball predictions from 247Sports to land at Notre Dame, which seems to be a consensus among the media.

He visited Virginia Tech on June 6 and then, a week later, visited Notre Dame, when the Crystal Ball predictions were logged for him. It feels like the Hokies are on here because of his connection with his brothers, but who knows? Just maybe it will end up being Virginia Tech.

Last week, Reddish reacted to a social media post made by a Notre Dame commit, and it sent college football fans into wondering if the Irish will end up being the place he picks. If he does, he'll join a loaded secondary in the Class of 2026, but if he commits to Virginia Tech, he'll be another player added to a class that has been focusing on defense through their first seven commits, with most being from that side of the ball.
