We are still nearly two weeks away from the 2025 ACC Kickoff in Charlotte for football, but don't fear, the ACC has already released the dates and days for the men's and women's basketball teams in the Queen City.

This season's ACC Tipoff will take place Oct. 6-8 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown for the three-say event. Megan Duffy and the Virginia Tech women will meet with the media on Monday morning, Oct. 6, with Mike Young and Hokies' men meet with the media two days later in the last session of the week on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 8.

It won't be known until it gets a lot closer as to which athletes will be joining their head coaches in Charlotte, but last season, joining Duffy were Carleigh Wenzel, Matilda Ekh, and Rose Micheaux. Joining Young for the men were Mylyjael Poteat and Ben Burnham. As for who might attend this year, you can bet Wenzel and one or two teammates, while Young will need to bring new players, and hopefully, one is Tobi Lawal, who is always great for a quote or two.

Again, we have not even had the football kickoff, and we are still just over four months away from the college hoop season starting in early November, but it's never too early to get the information out for the ACC Tipoff. When the event comes, it's a sign that the season is right around the corner, and for the Virginia Tech men and women, it should be a fun winter of hoops with rosters that improved from what they were at the end of this past season.

Duffy has some promising freshmen coming in to join her reutrning core while Young has added some promising first-year players along with his returning core. He could end up having two draft picks in next June's draft when all is said and done.
