Virginia Tech in the mix for fast-rising 4-star Class of 2025 small forward

So far Virginia Tech men's basketball coach Mike Young has two commitments in the Class of 2025 in Sin'Cere Jones and Christian Gurdak. Now, the Hokies are being linked to another four-star member of the class along with several other schools.
Rising star Ryan Crotty from Charlottesville, who plays AAU with Jones on Boo Williams, has more than a dozen offers, but according to Travis Branham of 247Sports reported on an episode of Eye on College Basketball said that three schools are linked the most to Crotty are Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State and Clemson.
"Three schools I'm hearing the most on (are) Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, and Clemson right now. A 6-foot-5 wing that is just an absolute sniper with a mullet and plays with that irrational confidence that you need.''
The 6-foot-5 Crotty is one of the better shooters in the Class of 2025 and is the 89th overall prospect in his class according to 247Sports and the 14th small forward in the country and fifth in the Commonwealth. Branham called Miller School standout "arguably the best shooter in the entire country,'' something that certainly would be welcomed in Blacksburg.
Virginia Tech has stiff competition to land Ryan Crotty
Clemson and Oklahoma State are just two of the other schools in the mix for Crotty along with Virginia Tech, who offered him on May 7. Miami, West Virginia, Indiana State, Mississippi State, and Iowa are other schools that have offered him.
Gurdak was a big addition to the class for Young, but now Jones could be a recruiter for Young to help his teammate come to Blacksburg. Currently, the class has a good frontcourt presence with a big in Gurdak who has a nice touch around the basket and Crotty would add a huge presence from the outside.
