Virginia Tech football recruit explains what he's looking for during weekend visit
By Scott Roche
It’s going to be a very busy weekend in Blacksburg in terms of football recruiting for Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry and his staff. One of the recruits they are hosting is three-star cornerback Terrance Edwards, an in-state recruit who is making another visit to campus.
The Trinity Episcopal High School spoke about what he’s looking for in his visit and it’s something that Pry and his staff have been doing a good job of recently with in-state recruits, proving to them that “This is Home.’’
"I can't wait. I'm looking for that feeling that let's me know this is home and where I need to be. I've been there a few times, so it's just bonding with the players and the coaches more."
- Terrance Edwards
The Class of 2025 recruit will announce his college decision between Virginia Tech, and Michigan State, which he will visit on June 14, and West Virginia on June 22.
"With Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Michigan State, it's about feel because I know I can play at each school and they all have great coaches, so I'm looking for the feel and fit and development on and off the field. The NFL is my goal, but becoming a great man off the field and in life is my greater goal."
- Terrance Edwards
Edwards is the 19th-ranked player in his class and Virginia Tech is the projected school according to 247Sports Crystal Ball Prediction.
Currently, the Hokies have commitments from in-state players Brett Clatterbaugh from Culpepper, Knahlij Harrell and Jayden Anderson from Virginia Beach, and Carter Stallard from Christiansburg. When he took over, Pry has made a huge effort recruiting with his staff within the state of Virginia and with four of the five commits already in the Class of 2025 from the Commonwealth, he’s only strengthening the relationships, and getting a commitment from Edwards would only prove that more.
