Virginia Tech Football recruit Chanz Wiggins makes impressive catch in Under Armour All-American Game

Three members of the Virginia Tech football team's Class of 2024 were selected to play in the 2024 Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando, Florida at Camping World Stadium Wednesday afternoon. One of the recruits, quarterback Davi Belfort, backed out of the game as he recovered from an injury, but two other future Hokies lined up and played.
Defensive lineman Emmett Laws started for Team Fire and wide receiver Chanz Wiggins was his teammate and made a pretty darn good catch in the first quarter. It was a catch that shows that the three-star recruit is going to fit in just fine in the Hokies wide receiver room in 2024.
Chanz Wiggins makes highlight reel catch in the first quarter
In the first quarter, Wiggins went down the left sideline beat his defender, and a made diving catch, show-casing his talent.
Wiggins recently was in Annapolis, Maryland for the Military Bowl where Virginia Tech played Tulane and his mother drove him there, which allowed him to practice, attend meetings and eat with his future teammates.
Wiggins is joining a wide receiver room in Blacksburg that has quarterback Kyron Drones' and three of his top four receivers from 2023 returning. Stephen Gosnell, Jayline Lane, Da'Quan Felton, and Ali Jennings announced that they are returning next season. Jennings was lost in Week 2 against Purdue with an injury and is coming back on a medical redshirt for the Hokies.
Wiggins without a doubt is a player that can come in and contribute to a wide receiver room that is experienced. He is another player that Drones will have at his disposal for skilled players that can make plays.
