The month of June has been very kind to Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry in terms of recruiting. The third-year head coach has been getting some key Class of 2025 commitments and is building a class that is growing with talent.

Recently, Pry has got commitments from quarterback AJ Brand, linebacker Noah Chambers, and edge Zeke Chinwike. Thursday, Pry picked up another commitment in the Class of 2025 and brought the number to 11 and this one was a big addition.

Nathaniel Wright commits to Virginia Tech

Recently, the Crystal Ball Prediction for 247Sports had swung big time in favor of Virginia Tech for Woodbridge, Va. native Nathaniel Wright, and Thursday, he announced that he committed to Pry and the Hokies as an interior offensive lineman. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Wright is the 38th-ranked player in the Commonwealth according to 247Sports and he picked Virginia Tech over Duke, North Carolina, West Virginia, Wake Forest, and others. He picked up over a dozen scholarship offers over the last year, including one from Pittsburgh. Wright took several visits to Blacksburg and since being offered last May, he has been seen as a priority for Pry and his staff.

He becomes the eighth recruit in the Class of 2025 from the state of Virginia to commit to Virginia Tech. He joins fellow offensive lineman Carter Stallard from Christiansburg, wide receiver Jayden Anderson, Chinwike, cornerback Knahlij Harrell from Virginia Bech, cornerback Sheldon Robinson from Woodberry Forest, and linebacker Brett Clatterbaugh from Culpeper.

Pry may not be done this week getting some commitments as some other recruits are making their decisions including four-star quarterback Malik Washington who is also considering Maryland, Syracuse, and Central Florida. Running back Jeffrey Overton will make his decision Friday and another offensive lineman, Michael Gibbs will announce his commitment Sunday night.
