Virginia Tech football gets another Class of 2025 in-state commitment from Zeke Chinwike

One area that Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry continues to excel in recently is recruiting within the state of Virginia. When he was hired, he said from the beginning that he was going make it a priority to mend what appeared to be broken relationships and so far, he's been true to his word.

For the fourth time in a year, the Hokies third-year coach got a commitment from the 757 in the Class of 2025, it's the third commitment from a Green Run player after Zeke Chinwike, who will play his senior season there after transferring from Ocean Lakes, committed to Virginia Tech Monday night.

Back in February, wide receiver Jayden Anderson and cornerback Knahlij Harrell committed to the Hokies and now Chinwike, a three-star defensive lineman, joins his two first-year classmates and Class of 2024 commit, wide receiver Jaylen Adams, in Blacksburg.

Chinwike chose Virginia Tech over James Madison, Maryland, Connecticut, West Virginia and East Carolina after taking an official visit this past weekend in what was the biggest recruiting weekend of the season for Pry and his staff.

Chinwike, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound prospect, is the 41st-ranked player in Virginia in his class and joins a class that is now up to 10 for Pry and Virginia Tech and he commits days after Christian Evans committed. This has turned into a big two weeks for Pry in terms of getting commitments in the Class of 2025 and there are still some players who have commitments to make over the next week after taking official visits to Blacksburg. With each passing day, Pry is turning Virginia Tech into a home for in-state recruits.
