When Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry woke up Sunday morning, I'm not sure the Hokies' third-year coach envisioned the day he was going to and ended up having. It was the final day of a monster recruiting weekend in Blacksburg with over a dozen recruits on campus in what was the final weekend of the current period.

Early Sunday afternoon, Virginia Tech picked up a huge Class of 2025 commitment from three-star quarterback AJ Brand from South Carolina who picked the Hokies over the Gamecocks and other schools. Later Sunday afternoon, Virginia Tech picked up their second commitment of the day in the Class of 2025 and it is one that Pry and his staff were making a priority.

Linebacker Noah Chambers commits to Virginia Tech

Just hours after Brand committed to Virginia Tech, the Hokies picked up their second commitment of the day when three-star linebacker Noah Chambers from Maryland powerhouse DeMatha Catholic High School. He had originally set a date to make his commitment, which came down to Virginia Tech and Maryland, while he also held offers from South Florida, Syracuse, Boston College, Pittsburgh, and others, but he moved it up following an official visit this weekend in Blacksburg.

Chambers is the second Class of 2025 linebacker to commit to Virginia Tech, joining four-star Brett Clatterbaugh who committed to the Hokies in March. Getting the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Chambers to commit to Tech, the Hokies are putting together a sneaky-good Class of 2025 defensively. Along with Chambers and Clatterbaugh, Virginia Tech has cornerback Knahlij Harrell from Virginia Beach and safety Sheldon Robinson from Woodberry Forest. It's safe to say that the class is really beginning to round into form and expect more commitments over the coming days and weeks after this weekend's visits.
