Virginia Tech Football: Hokies' announces ACC Media Day attendees

Virginia Tech announced who will be joining head coach Brent Pry and next week's ACC Media Days in Charlotte.

All the signs are there that college football is just around the corner. The first hint is that we are in July and the second, 2024 college football media days are in full swing. Last week the Big 12 held their media days and this week, the SEC is doing it in Dallas. Next week it'll be the ACC's turn in Charlotte.

The four-day event in North Carolina will open on Monday (July 22) and Virginia Tech will be one of four teams that take center stage on Tuesday (July 23) along with California, Pittsburgh, Stanford, and Virginia. Monday, Virginia Tech announced who will be attending with head coach Brent Pry.

As usual, Pry will be the featured speaker for Virginia Tech ahead of what is expected to be a big thre-year of the Brent Pry-era in Blacksburg. Joining their head coach is quarterback Kyron Drones, defensive lineman Antwaun Powell-Ryland and defensive back Dorian Strong.

This will be a big week in Charlotte for the conference. First-year members California, Stanford, and SMU will be attending their first ACC Media Week as conference members. Commissioner Jim Phillips will open things up on Monday with opening statements followed by. Q&A before Florida State, Georgia Tech anbd SMU take the stage.

There will be no shortage of storylines as questions surround the future of Florida State and Clemson in the conference and just how much longer the ACC have if those schools leave. It doesn't feel like "if" these schools will leave, but more like "when''. There are going to be a lot of questions asked to different people about the. situation and it'll be interesting to see how Phillips, the school's coaches, players, and everyone else answers those upcoming questions.
