Virginia Tech football 4-star recruit named one of top performers at Elite 11

Virginia Tech recently held a visit for four-star Class of 2025 quarterback Malik Washington and the Maryland native came away "very high" on the Hokies. The Archbishop Spalding signal-caller still has visits lined up with Maryland, Syracuse and Central Florida.
It's going to be a little bit before he makes his final decision, but if you're a Virginia Tech fan, you have to feel good about how he feels about Blacksburg. At the Elite 11 2024, Washington was named one of the top performers.

Washington turned in a promising performance according to Andrew Ivins of 247Sports.
"Washington was another soon-to-be senior that turned in an overall promising performance. Everything certainly wasn't perfect for Washington, but he had plenty of encouraging moments as put balls on tight lines and was able to generate some whip by changing arm angles. Washington has a budding 6-foot-4 frame and is a high flyer on the basketball court. He needs some polish, but has found ways to win games at Seven (Md.) Archbishop Spaling. Maryland, UCF and Syracuse are in line to get official visits from Washington."

Currently, the Hokies have a commitment from DeSoto, Texas QB Kelden Ryan in the Class of 2025, but Washington is someone who feels like Pry and offensive coordinator Tyler Bowen see as a priority in the class. Washington possesses a skill set that Virginia Tech likes with a strong arm and the ability to throw it quickly and accurately. Looking ahead down the line, Pop Watson and incoming freshman Davi Belfort figure to be around next spring, but adding Washington with Ryan would set the Hokies up for a deep QB room down the line.
