Recruiting in the Class of 2025 is off to a good start for Virginia Tech men's basketball coach Mike Young. So far, he has had commitments from Sin'Cere Jones and Christian Gurdak in the last two months. They are also going to host four-star Ryan Crotty in September as they are reportedly in the mix with Clemson and Oklahoma State for the Charlottesville, Va. native.

Thursday, another Class of 2025 four-star trimmed his list of schools down to five and Virginia Tech was included. Power forward Brady Koehler from Indiana cut his list and also included with the Hokies were Iowa, Wake Forest, Northwestern, and Notre Dame. He has visits scheduled to all five of those schools and he'll be in Blacksburg from Sept. 27-29, the final of the five visits. He did tell 247Sports that while the visits are scheduled, he could decide before all visits have been completed.

Koehler is the 65th overall player in the Class of 2025 according to 247Sports and the 6-foot-8 Indianapolis native is ranked in the ESPN Top 100 coming in at No. 96.

"He's a southpaw forward with size, length and athleticism who has a smooth stroke from three but is also comfortable attacking closeouts, can score from mid-range and has shown some impressive flashes on defense.

Koehler is still very immature with his physical frame and as he continues to get stronger and develop his game, he will continue to make big jumps on the court.
With the exposure he's received and what he has shown, coaches are taking more notice and his recruitment is starting to ramp up."

Virginia Tech and Young have made it known to Koehler what they think of him as he told 247Sports that Young and Kevin Giltner have traveled to see him in camps and games. The Hokies have their work cut out for them with ACC foes Notre Dame and Wake Forest also in the mix.
