Virginia Tech Basketball: Fast-rising combo guard recruit seeing stock jump quickly this spring
By Scott Roche
Virginia Tech men's basketball coach Mike Young has had a lot of his time consumed over the last couple of months with the transfer portal. While dealing with players coming and going from Blacksburg, he has seen a Class of 2025 recruit stock rise quickly as the calendar turns to June.
Three-star combo guard Isaiah Denis, from Davidson, North Carolina, has seen his stock rise over the spring and he also has seen the offers come flying in as well. The 6-foot-4 recruit who has an offer from Virginia Tech should jump in the national rankings this month.

Denis, who told 247Sports that his ability to make plays and shots and defend at a high level has improved, has offers recently from Mississippi State, LSU, Florida, Ohio State, Wake Forest, and Pittsburgh as well as Tech. He visited the Hokies in January and spoke about how it went.
"I went there back in January. I loved the facilities and the coaches really welcomed me there. They really let me stay in the gym with them, get to know them, speak with the strength people and all of that. It really felt like home."

Denis also said that he's planning to set up more visits and mentioned that a return trip to Blacksburg is an option.
"Florida, Ohio State for sure, Virginia Tech and I've also been in some discussions with Kansas and I would like to visit there."
- Isaiah Denis
As far as Young and Virginia Tech go, they are going to be competing with a lot of good programs for Denis, but it's a good sign that he is interested in visiting Blacksburg again. Recruiting in the Class of 2025 is going to pick up and it doesn't appear that Denis is going to announce his decision anytime soon as the offers are still coming in and his stock is rising quickly.
