Tracking every player coming in and out of Virginia Tech during the football transfer portal

The 2024 spring transfer portal is open and it didn't take long for some Virginia Tech players to enter. While there are going to be players leaving Blacksburg, there are going to be some players coming in for needs that the Hokies coaching staff feels they need to add.

Here is a running transfer portal for the spring and it will be updated whenever someone goes in and someone comes in from outside of Blacksburg.

Dylan Wittke - QB

Days after the Hokies Spring Game, Dylan Wittke entered the portal after Pry said that Pop Watson was ahead in the battle for the backup quarterback spot behind Kyron Drones.

Gabriel Arena - OL

An offensive lineman, the Hokies had high hopes for Gabriel Arena, but he was never able to break through.

Tralon Mitchell - RB

Last season, Tralon Mitchell got one carry, but as we saw in the Spring Game, there running back room is a little deeper than we originally thought.

Antonio Cotman - S

Like Arena, Antonio Cotman is a young player, but he is stuck in a position where there is likely NFL talent ahead of him. This one might hurt the most down the line.

Tavorian Copeland - LB

Linebacker Tavorian Copeland, who redshirted in 2023, entered the transfer portal with four years of eligibility remaining.
