When the Virginia Tech football team hired Brent Pry, they knew that it would take time for the hype to come back around to the program. Going into Year 3 of the Brent Pry-era you could say that the hype is back a little earlier than originally thought.
With a ton of retainment from the 2023 team including key players on both sides of the ball, Virginia Tech could be one of the dark horses in the ACC this season. People are starting to catch on nationally about the Hokies and the upcoming season and one former Hokie legend is also excited for the 2024 campaign.
Michael Vick speaks about Virginia Tech and the 2024 season
Former Virginia Tech legend Michael Vick spoke on Saturday about the Hokies and the upcoming season and it's safe to say that he is excited for the season and watching quarterback Kyron Drones and seeing what he can do in his second season in Blacksburg.
"Coach Pry has done an amazing job and the entire coaching staff making sure we stay the course. Feel good about this season. Got great players coming back. I look forward to some amazing quarterback play from Kyron Drones and the rest of those guys. We know the defense is going to be up to par, the offense has made great strides. It takes all three phases of the game, but most importantly we getting better each and every day."

If there is someone who knows about amazing quarterback play, it's Vick. Drones will certainly be the focal point of the offense, but he has many players in the backfield and on the outside who will be able to make plays which makes them unpredictable this season. Defensively the Hokies return a ton of talent and when you put it all together, it's shaping up to be an exciting year in Blacksburg and Vick sees it.
