In the current state of college spots, mainly football, it seems like it's ever-changing with teams changing conferences. The PAC-12 as we know it will be no more following the spring athletic season with schools making the jump for the Big Ten and ACC.

Stanford and California will be joining the ACC this upcoming fall and the Hokies football team will travel west to play the Cardinal in early October. Clemson and Florida State are looking to get out of the ACC and if they ever do, they'll likely end up in either Big Ten or the SEC. If that happens, you can expect the end of the ACC that everyone has grown up to be in serious trouble.

If that happens, where will Virginia Tech end up? According to an ESPN college football analyst, they would be a perfect fit for the SEC.

Cole Cubelic thinks Virginia Tech would be a good fit in the SEC

ESPN analyst Cole Cubelic joined 365 Sports to discuss the current state of college sports and realignment he asked which school would be a fit with the SEC, his first response was Virginia Tech.

"Virginia Tech because I think that fanbase, the culture of that program, university is very SEC like. "

Cole Cubelic

He's not wrong whatsoever. Virginia Tech would be a perfect fit for the SEC and it wouldn't be up for discussion. Cubelic also mentioned that Florida State and Miami would be perfect fits, but Virginia would be a huge question mark and that he's not sure why people need to have Virginia.

It remains to be seen what comes of Clemson and Florida State's legal battles and what comes for the ACC in terms of teams actually leaving for another conference. If Virginia Tech does leave, leaving for the SEC makes just too much sense. We agree with Cole Cubelic.
