Da'Wain Lofton

Wide receiver Da'Wain Lofton got lost in the deep room in Blacksburg and it became more clear that he was going to stay there when Stephen Gosnell, Jaylin Lane, Da'Quan Felton, and Ali Jennings all announced that they were coming back in 2024. Lofton entered the portal and like Canteen, he also ended up in the Big 12.

Lofton committed to Oklahoma State and injuries hampered his season for the 3-9 Cowboys. He ended up the season with six receptions for 140 yards and a whopping 23.3 yards a catch in just three games in October. Earlier this month, he announced that he'll be heading back into the portal and hopefully he will find a home and stay healthy in 2025. This verdict will be based on his injury-plagued season.

Verdict: Sunk

Jack Hollifield

After three years in Blacksburg, Jack Hollifield left the Hokies and transferred to Appalachian State and talk about making an impact right away. He earned All-Sun Belt Conference Second Team Honors this season.

Last week it was announced that he's entering the transfer portal again. With all the losses the Hokies have suffered the last couple of weeks since the regular season ended, Hollifield is someone who will be missed in 2025.

Verdict: Starred
