Over the last two years since coming to Virginia Tech, running back Bhayshul Tuten has been making a name for himself when it comes to the NFL Draft. From his production on the field to his pre-draft workouts, the former North Carolina A&T back has been opening some eyes.

He opened eyes at the NFL Combine last month in Indianapolis when he ran a blistering 40-yard dash that topped times of some of the top running backs in the NFL last season. He also has been opening eyes with his ability to break tackles and get his speed to another level in the open field.

Where he goes in the NFL Draft later this month in Green Bay remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that he is climbing some draft boards with scouts. One NFL Draft analyst has tabbed Tuten as one of his favorite Day 3 prospects that will be available.

NFL Draft writer lists Bhayshul Tuten as one of his top Day 3 draft prospects

Connor Rogers of NBCSports listed his top 5 Day 3 prospects that will likely still be on the board in Green Bay and Tuten was one of the five with some impressive company. Also listed was Rutgers running back Kyle Monangai and Illinois wide receiver Pat Bryant.

A Day 3 pick is what a lot of mock drafts and experts have for Tuten, but could he have raised his value enough to be a Day 2 pick? That remains to be seen, but it is clear that scouts and draft experts are liking Tuten more and more. He is a back who could come in, be a third-down back who can pick up short yardage, and also be used in the passing game. Whoever picks him will be getting a back who can come in and contribute in any way that he is needed in 2025.
