One player getting some pre-NFL Combine love was Virginia Tech running back Bhayshul Tuten. He was listed as one player who could rise in the NFL Draft next month in Green Bay if he was able to put on an impressive performance. Boy, did he.
Tuten was part of the running backs who had a chance at doing some on-field work and the two-year Hokies' standout didn't disappoint in anything he did.
Bhayshul Tuten turns some heads at the NFL Combine on Saturday
Tuten showed the scouts and teams in attendance just how quick he is by running a 4.32 40-yard dash. He even shocked the NFL Network broadcast during his run. Hokies' fans know how well Tuten's running is, but that was an impressive run. He ran a faster time than Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs (4.36 seconds) and Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (4.40).

Tuten wasn't done. In his vertical jump, the North Carolina A&T transfer came in at 40.50, the best among running backs. In the broad jump, he tied for second among running backs at 10'10". His 10-yard split was tops among running backs with a 1.49. It's safe to say that he opened some eyes and will likely rise on a lot of teams' boards next month.

On Friday he met with the media and described himself.
"Tough and physical," said Tuten. "I think I'm a back that likes to lower my shoulder, get the extra yards. I'm a speed back as well. I step up in pass-block and put my face in the fence, so I think toughness is the main word that I like to use.
I am well-rounded," he continued. "I am a level-headed guy. I'm willing to come in and just soak up as much as I can."
Not only does he have toughness, he has the speed and skills to have a career at the next level. He put teams on notice on Saturday and likely will find himself higher on teams' draft boards than he did before the combine started.
