Last June, Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry picked up his first commit in the Class of 2026 when Nazareth, Pa. quarterback Peyton Falzone committed to the Hokies. A highly-touted signal-caller in his class, he had a change of heart in the fall and de-committed and reopened his recruiting.

"After deep thought and consideration, I've made the difficult decision to decommit from Virginia Tech at this time," said Falzone back in November. "From day one, my family and I were treated with love and respect by the entire staff at Virginia Tech. I am deeply thankful to Coach Pry, Coach Bowen, and everyone in the Hokie family who believed in me and supported my development. I'll always have great respect and love for Blacksburg and the Hokies.''

As expected, he has drawn interest from some schools with Penn State and Ohio State leading the way. James Franklin recently visited Falzone at his school and Falzone even took a visit late in the season to Columbus and the Buckeyes. Over the last couple of days, his recruitment has been picking up steam with more offers.

Falzone made a quick decision before his junior year before de-committing and this time, he’ll likely take his time before committing again. He has recently received offers from West Virginia, Marshall, and Buffalo.

It would be surprising to see him commit to either of the latter two with Penn State and Ohio State in the mix with West Virginia. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Falzone is a dual-threat quarterback who would fit into a lot of offenses.

Currently, in the Class of 2026, Pry has a commitment from wide receiver Carnell Warren from Bluffington, S.C. In the incoming Class of 2025, quarterbacks Kelden Ryan and A.J. Brand are two talented players with a bright future.
