Who Are the Announcers for Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech?

For the second time this season, the Virginia Tech football team will be looking at a noon-time kickoff. They are hoping to have better success than they did on Aug. 31 when they kicked off at noon in Nashville in a 34-27 overtime loss to Vanderbilt.

This weekend, the Hokies will host Georgia Tech in an ACC battle between two teams looking to take a step closer to becoming bowl-eligible. At the beginning of the season, the Hokies had high hopes and a potential berth in the new 12-team College Football Playoff. With those dreams all but gone after a 4-3 start, Virginia Tech would have to win out, including the ACC Championship Game in December in Charlotte. 

The Hokies will be looking for their third straight win after wins over Stanford and Boston College against the Yellow Jackets. Who are the announcers for Saturday afternoon?

This is another week with Virginia Tech being broadcast on the ACC Network and when fans tune in, they will hear some familiar voices behind the mike this season. Chris Cotter will handle the play-by-play with former Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich the analyst. Coley Harvey will once again handle the sideline duties.

This crew was in Blacksburg for Virginia Tech’s 26-23 loss to Rutgers and then were out in California when the Hokies beat Stanford, 31-7, on Oct. 5. This is going to be an interesting matchup with Haynes King’s availability in doubt as he is day-to-day and this week, the Hokies moved Jaden Keller to the top of the depth chart with Sam Brumfield. Hearing Herzelich’s breakdown of Keller would be something interesting to listen to. After this weekend, Virginia Tech’s game on Nov. 2 at Syracuse is on a six-day hold and it’s time and TV announcement will come Sunday.
