The 2025 NFL Draft is inching closer and closer and this is expected to be an exciting draft for former Virginia Tech players and fans. A handful of former Hokies have impressed over the last couple of months leading into the draft and now with the draft just over two weeks away, it’s getting to crunch time.

One player who will hear his name selected, and it could be on Day 3, is former Virginia Tech cornerback Dorian Strong. He could have left last season nd declared for the 2024 Draft in Detroit, but he decided to run it back for another year in Blacksburg like a lot of his teammates. Most NFL teams are wrapping their pre-draft visits with players, but Strong has one visit set up with an AFC Super Bowl contender.

Former Virginia Tech DB Dorian Strong is to meet with the Buffalo Bills

A former Virginia Tech secondary star has recently done well coming out of the draft. Chamarri Conner was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs, and he already has a Super Bowl Ring. A team that the Chiefs have run into frequently during the postseason is the Buffalo Bills, and Strong is reportedly set to meet with the Western New York contender.

If we’re being honest, there are not many better situations for Stong to end up than with the defending AFC East champions. Sean McDermott has had his doubters in terms of head coaches being very good in regular season and unable to get his team over the top in the playoffs, but he is a defensive minded coach and having Strong on his radar is not surprising given how impressive he has been in some of his workouts.

This is just a visit, and it doesn’t mean anything in terms of the draft and that Buffalo will indeed select Strong. Who knows, maybe they will, but one thing’s for sure, the former Hokie has opened some eyes in the next level.
