Last month, former Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos opened a door that he might want to keep closed. Now at Florida State, Castellanos made some comment about playing Alabama in the Seminoles' season opener next month and included a comment that said, "They don’t have Nick Saban to save them. I just don’t see them stopping me.”

Those comments were made to On3 Sports, and of course, those comments were heard by the Crimson Tide and you can bet they have been booked marked and will be all over the place ahead of the battle. On Wednesday, Castellanos didn't back down from those comments.

"We stand on what I said," Castellanos said. "But there's no disrespect between that team or anything like that. It's just the confidence that I have in my teammates and the way we've been preparing and putting this preparation together this off-season, I just feel confident in the guys and the work that we've been putting in."

After going 2-10 last season, FSU is looking for something, anything to get them going in 2025 and Castellanos is doing it with his mouth, and now he'll have to back it up on the field. If he can't, watch out.

Virginia Tech up at ACC Kickoff 2025

The third and final day of the ACC Kickoff in Charlotte is Thursday, and Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry and four of his players will have their turn with the media. Who knows what will be said, but it's highly unlikely any bulletin board material will be said.

Joining Pry are quarterback Kyron Drones, linebacker Jaden Keller, defensive lineman Kelvin Gilliam, and Wake Forest transfer wide receiver Donovan Greene.

Virginia Tech women's soccer releases schedule

Believe it or not, but the Virginia Tech women's soccer season is right around the corner. The Hokies released their 2025 schedule, and it begins on Aug. 14 at home against High Point. As far as the ACC schedule goes, they will have a three-game road trip in early October with games at Virginia, Stanford, and California in eight days.
