College football official Early Signing Day is a couple of weeks away for the Class of 2025 and the flip action is starting to heat up. Several recruits are flipping their commitments leading into signing day as even though they are committed to one school, they are still taking official visits to others.

Virginia Tech hosted some recruits who are committed to other schools when Clemson came to Blacksburg on Nov. 9 in a 24-14 loss. The Hokies have already lost one commitment in the Class of 2025 when Matthew Outten flipped his commitment in early September to Penn State and James Franklin, who just happens to be Brent Pry's former boss where he was the defensive coordinator before being hired in Blacksburg.

The Hokies have two quarterbacks committed in the Class of 2025, Kelden Ryan from DeSoto, Texas, and AJ Brand from Columbia, S.C. Brand committed to Virginia Tech in June, picking them over his hometown South Carolina Gamecocks and with signing day weeks away, he's still committed to Pry and offensive coordinator Tyler Bowen.

AJ Brand remains committed to Virginia Tech

Brand, a three-star according to 247Sports, took an official visit to South Carolina this past weekend to see the Gamecocks rally to stun Missouri in the final seconds, according to Anna Adams of 247Sports. Adams spoke to Brand who reiterated that he is still committed to the Hokies.

"Lock in with VT,'' Brand told Adams.

That is good news for Pry, Bowen, and the Hokies, but in this day and age with recruiting, never say never. He is a talented signal caller who had a strong senior season at Irmo High School and there is a lot to like about his future in Blacksburg. Things are going to move quickly over the next couple of weeks in recruiting and Brand is someone worth keeping an eye on. He's scheduled to be back at Lane Stadium on Nov. 30 for the Commonwealth battle with Virginia.
