We are seven days away from the Virginia Tech football team opening the 2025 season in Atlanta against South Carolina in a Sunday afternoon standalone game on ESPN. This has been a game that has been talked about for a long time, and it is almost here.

Just a few questions remain about the game, and one of them is which uniforms the two teams are going to wear? On Sunday, Virginia Tech football's X account dropped a rather sick post that revealed what the Hokies' uniforms will look like, and dare we say, they look sick.

Virginia Tech reveals uniform for season-opening game against South Carolina

This is a neutral site game, so which side was going to wear which colors was a question that Virginia Tech answered. They are going to don white helmets with orange jerseys and pants, along with orange and white cleats at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

These uniforms are very similar to the ones they wore against Boston College last year when they hosted the Eagles on a Thursday night at Lane Stadium. These uniforms have won over most, if not all, Virginia Tech fans, and it isn't surprising that they are pulling them out for the opener against the Gamecocks.

The social media post is one of the better ones that they have done for a uniform reveal, which shows just how big a game this is for the Hokies for a season opener. The color combination has been sharp as of late when Virginia Tech puts out different uniforms, and having this in a standalone spot for the rest of the country to see is going to look very, very sharp. Hopefully, they pull it out again this year at some point in Blacksburg.
