Just like that, the 2025 NFL Draft has come and gone. All the hype and mock drafts leading into this weekend in Green Bay are over with, and it's time for all players who got picked to get to work with their new teams. As far as former Virginia Tech players go, five were selected on Day 3 in Wisconsin on Saturday to begin their professional careers.
Last season in Detroit, there were no former Hokies picked, but several got undrafted free agent contracts with NFL teams, and that was the case again this season following Round 7 on Saturday night in Green Bay. Bahyshul Tuten (Jacksonville Jaguars), Jaylin Lane (Washington Commanders), Antwaun Powell-Ryland (Philadelphia Eagles), Dorian Strong (Buffalo Bills), and Aeneas Peebles (Baltimore Ravens) all got selected on Saturday. However, when the dust settled, these former Hokies got UDFA's.
