After a long week and a half for Virginia Tech, Selection Sunday is finally here for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. After being bounced in the second round of the ACC Tournament against Georgia Tech, the Hokies and first-year coach Megan Duffy and her team have been waiting to see how things play out in other conference tournaments.
After the results started to go their way in the beginning, that wasn't the case this weekend with how the Ivy League Tournament played out. Columbia, the regular-season champ, is safely in the field whether or not they won the tournament, but Harvard and Princeton have been part of the field as the last Four In according to Charlie Creme of ESPN.
Virginia Tech needed Harvard or Princeton to win big Friday night in the semifinals, but the Crimson won by three points. Saturday night's championship game, Harvard again won by three points, giving the conference a real possibility of getting three teams into the field. What a year that would be for the Ivy League. If that does happen, that's bad news for the Hokies. Anyway, here is how you can watch the 68-team bracket reveal on Sunday night to learn Virginia Tech's fate.
