One storyline that is beginning to an issue this season for the Virginia Tech men's basketball team is the lack of success that Mike Young's squad has had on the road this season. Their struggles continued Saturday night at Pittsburgh with a 15-point loss to the Panthers in a game where they gave up 43 second-half points after being tied 36-36 at halftime.

There will be many reasons why the Hokies miss the 2024 NCAA Tournament, but one of them will be the struggles they've had this season away from Blacksburg. This week, Young's team plays their ninth conference road game of the season at Syracuse before a home game against a surging Wake Forest team that rolled over the Hokies earlier this season.

At this point in the season, the Hokies are playing for some extra basketball in the NIT, but that is not a given unless they can string some wins together over the final four games before the ACC Tournament. This week offers two opportunities for Virginia Tech against two teams that are still very much alive for an NCAA Tournament berth. With that said, here is all the information you need to watch the Hokies this week as the conference tournament in Washington, D.C. is just over two weeks away.
