There were many moving parts for the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team last week. Following their loss to Baylor in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, head coach Kenny Brooks left to take over at Kentucky and All-American point guard Georgia Amoore said goodbye to Hokies’ fans with still one more season of eligibility left.

The question that Virginia Tech fans was what is next for her? She could enter the transfer portal and go to Lexington, Kentucky to play for Brooks or she could declare for the WNBA Draft, which is on April 15. Monday, she gave everyone her decision on her future.

Georgia Amoore announces future plan

Talia Goodman of The Next Hoops reported Monday that Amoore is entering the transfer portal and there will no doubt be a lot of suitors for her. In reality, you have to think that if she's not going into the WNBA this year, then she's likely headed to Kentucky with Brooks.

It should not come as a surprise that she entered the portal and Pete Nakos of No3 reported that she has a no-contact tag, which tells you one thing and one thing only. The portal is open through the end of the month and, likely, Amoore will not be the only current member of the Hokeis to enter the portal before it closes.
