Women's Basketball recruit named an McDonald's All-American Nominee

Women's basketball recruit Lexi Blue is a McDonald's All-American Nominee for the Class of 2024.

Blue is a four-star shooting guard from Orlando, Florida and the 6-foot-2 sharpshooter is the 31st-ranked recruit in the Class of 2024 by ESPN. She has an opportunity to step in and play next season with Cayla King and Georgia Amoore as seniors and playing their final seasons in Blacksburg.

Florida State lands edge rusher in transfer portal

The Florida State football program and their fanbase was upset that their team was left out of the College Football Playoff at 13-0, but it seems like the Seminoles are going to be on a mission next season and they added an edge rusher from the transfer portal.

Oregon State's Sione Lolohea committed to Florida State. Last season for the Beavers, he had 47 tackles, 8.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks.

Virginia Tech softball begins practice for 2024

The Virginia Tech softball team has began practices for the 2024 season.

It's hard to believe, but the 2024 season is less than a month away. Virginia Tech plays Illinois and Auburn on Feb. 9 at Auburn as they look to begin their march for what they hope will end with an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Wrestling to host App State

The 11th-ranked Hokies wrestling team returns to Cassell Coliseum Friday night when they host Appalachian State at 7 o'clock.

Cooper Flynn was named ACC Wrestler of the Week after wins last week over Missouri and Cornell. He has been one of the Hokies' best wrestlers this season and will look to collect another win against the Mountaineers.
