At midnight on June 15, the Class of 2026 could begin contacting college coaches and vice versa. Virginia Tech men's basketball coach Mike Young has been busy the last couple of months with the transfer portal as he is building his roster for the 2024-25 season.

Young has also been busy hosting recruits in the Class of 2025 as well, but the veteran coach and his staff were busy on Saturday reaching out and contacting rising juniors. Here are some of the recruits that Young and his staff reached out to.

Korie Corbett

Columbia, South Carolina native Korie Corbett is beginning to rise in the Class of 2026 as a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, he is a four-star recruit according to 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals.com. He is a smooth 3-point shooter and back in January, he told 247Sports where his dream school to attend college in a couple of years.

"I want to go to UNC," he said of who his dream school is. "I just like everything about UNC."

South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte, and Clemson are some of the other schools that have reached out to him already.

Kayden Allen

Another four-star shooting guard that Young and his coaches reached out to is 6-foot-5, 190-pound Kayden Allen. According to On3, he is the No. 5 recruit in the class and the Lawrenceville, Georgia native is turning heads at Montverde Academy.

ACC schools Louisville, Georgia Tech, and Miami have also contacted him along with SEC powerhouses Tennessee and Auburn.

Gabe Sularski

A four-star wing from Illinois, Gabe Sularski is a higly-coveted 3-point shooter, and the 6-foot-6 Sularski can create his own shot while also doing a nice job of setting up teammates, something that would fit into the Hokies offense.

Sularski has heard from Notre Dame, Louisville, and Stanford from the ACC, while Michigan State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma are some other schools that are after the talented wing.

It's still very early stages in the recruiting for the Class of 2026 and more teams are going to get involved with these and other players Young and the Hokies are going to be interested in, but the Class of 2026 is finally on the clock when it comes to recruiting.
