Volleyball drops two out of three matches

The Hokies will head to VCU next weekend for the VCU Invitational where they will play the Rams and Lafayette looking to bounce back.
Former Hokies baseball pitcher gets called up to the Show
Former Virginia Tech pitcher Zach Brzykcy was called up to the majors Sunday by the Washington Nationals and it didn't take long for him to take the mound at Nationals Park. Unfortunately, he was called on in the top of the ninth against the Chicago Cubs and was hit hard in a 14-1 loss.
He threw 26 pitches in 0.2 innings and allowed five earned runs on three hits and two walks while getting a strikeout. Before his call-up, he had pitched well in Triple-A for Rochester with a 2.04 ERA in 30 games with 43 strikeouts in 35.1 innings. He missed the 2023 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April.
