When he took over as football coach for Justin Fuente at Virginia Tech, one area where Brent Pry wanted to repair broken relationships was in Virginia. Too many of the talented players were leaving the Commonwealth to play their college football elsewhere.

Pry has got five commitments from the Class of 2025 and four of those five are from Virginia. Recruiting for that class is going to pick up steam over June and summer and one four-star athlete from Virginia listed the Hokies as one of his final six choices.

Messiah Delhomme releases Top 6 which included Virginia Tech

Four-star athlete Messiah Delhomme out of Warwick High School and Newport News, Va. released his Top 6 schools on his X account and Virginia Tech made the list, along with Maryland, Virginia, Ohio State, Syracuse, and Alabama.

According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-1, 196-pound Delhomme is the fourth-ranked player in Virginia, and the 11th-ranked safety in the Class of 2025. He has scheduled visits with Virginia (June 7), Ohio State (June 14), and Maryland (June 21) on the horizon.

There are a couple players in the Class of 2025 that could be considered priorities and Delhomme fits that. Not only is it an opportunity to get an in-state recruit, but it would also keep him away from Virginia. Another priority in that same class is five-star safety Faheem Delane, younger brother of Hokies defensive back Mansoor.
