One thing that Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry and his staff are focusing on is recruiting in the state of Virginia. You saw how much they are making it a priority back in December during the early signing period when they signed five Top 20 recruits in the Class of 2024 out of Virginia. Now this weekend, they will get a chance to impress another in-state recruit that they should be making a priority.

Virginia Tech to host Jayden Anderson

Back in December, Jayden Anderson, a three-star wide receiver out of Virginia Beach, announced his Top 6 schools and Virginia Tech was one of those teams. Saturday, Anderson will take an official visit to Blacksburg.

The Class of 2025 speedy wideout from Green Run High School in December announced on X when he released his Top 6 that “I truly appreciate every school who has taken their time out to communicate with me and offer me a chance to come to their program. After talking it over with my family, I am going to focus on these schools and the coaches who I have built great relationships with. THANK YOU!’’

Pry and his staff are looking to cement relationships in Virginia and hope that will help them land Anderson. Virginia Tech has been making a strong effort in Virginia for wide receivers in their recruiting classes.

Anderson has West Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina, along Virginia Tech as his Top 6.
