Virginia Tech football fans unleash their anger with brutal broadcast at Old Dominion
By Scott Roche
The writing has been on the wall for a while. Since the Virginia Tech football schedule was released earlier this year, fans knew that Saturday night's game in Norfolk against Old Dominion was going to be broadcast on ESPN+.
One quarter into the game and Hokies fans are already frustrated. And they have every right to be as this latest production by ESPN is as bad as there has been in a while. That's saying a lot for the world wide leader.
Virginia Tech fans frustrated with ESPN+ broadcast at Old Dominion
Virginia Tech took their first drive and went down the field and scored on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Kyron Drones to Jaylin Lane. If you were watching the broadcast, there was a terrible mike being used that was making noise during the play. Hokies fans unleashed their frustration.
Some fans even went the sarcastic route, but again, they're not wrong.
Let's not overlook this gem from the end of the first quarter where nobody had even a clue that the mics were still on.
Some Virginia Tech fans needed to buy ESPN+ for $10.99 to watch this game and it's safe to say their not getting their money's worth. The CW Network broadcast last week left a lot ot be desired, but this one takes the cake. ESPN should be emabarrased for the way this broadcast has been going, but the good news for Hokiesfans is that they scored two touchdowns on their first drives and have already doubled their total points put up the offense in the first games in the opening 30 minutes in just one quarter.
