If you’re a fan of the Virginia Tech football team, all the games for the 2024 season are going to be must-watch. There is a lot of excitement for the season and rightfully so with all the retainment that Hokies have from their 2023 roster that went 5-3 over the final two months of the season in the ACC to become bowl-eligible at 6-6. They finished the season off with a Military Bowl win over the University of Tulane to enter the offseason strong and build a lot of momentum into 2024.

Their schedule is similar to last season’s schedule where they play all four of their non-conference games in the first month, then their eight-game ACC slate. There are a lot of interesting games on the schedule for the Hokies, but one outlet thinks that just one of their games next season should be considered an ACC Game of the Week.

Virginia Tech only has one ACC Game of the Week according to Athlon Sports

According to Steven Lassan of Athlon Sports, the one game that Virginia Tech has that in his eyes is the “ACC Game of the Week” is Week 5 at Miami. That is a no-brainer as it is a matchup of two teams that figure to be in the thick of the ACC race next season and it has the potential to be a great quarterback battle between Kyron Drones and Cam Ward, who transferred to the Hurricanes from Washington State.

Surprisingly, there are not any more Virginia Tech games that are considered the Game of the Week. Week 9, the Hokies will host Clemson at Lane Stadium where a lot could be on the line, but that week, Lassan has Florida State at Notre Dame as his choice, which is not surprising as the Irish get a lot of love from writers throughout the season.

As far as Virginia Tech fans go, every game is going to be a must-watch and 2024 has the potential to be a special fall in Blacksburg.
