Sunday is set up to be a special day in Blacksburg. The 8th-ranked Virginia Tech women's basketball team will play their final regular season home game for their gifted senior class. On top of that for the first time ever, College GameDay was in Blacksburg for their hour-long pregame show that began at 11 a.m. ET.
All season long, Hokies' fans have shown up and supported the women's team with a sell-out crowd including Sunday against North Carolina. Three hours before tip-off, Hokies Nation also showed out for College GameDay, and here are some social media posts from inside (and outside) Cassell Coliseum.
ONE MORE YEAR chant for @georgia_amoore. There’s also an awesome “5hifty” sign in the crowd for her. #Hokies pic.twitter.com/JNfFjmP0A1

Now that College GameDay is over with, it's almost time for basketball and time to honor the 2024 Senior Class, then a game with the Tar Heels and an opportunity to clinch at least a share of the regular season ACC title and a double-bye in the ACC Tournament next month.
