Currently, Virginia Tech men's basketball coach Mike Young has two commitments in the Class of 2025 with forward Sin'Cere Jones and center Christian Gurdak already committed to Mike Young and the Hokies.

Young and his staff will have a busy fall with some Class of 2025 recruits making a visit to Blacksburg before they make their college decisions at some point later in the fall or winter. One recruit who will be on campus is a Top 50 player, Jordan Scott, and the Hokies are one of three visits he has lined up.

Top 50 recruit Jordan Scott to visit Virginia Tech

Four-star small forward Jordan Scott of Reston, Virginia has cut his list down to three schools with Virginia Tech being joined by Michigan State and Maryland. Speaking to 247Sports, he mentioned what is drawing him to the Hokies, who he will visit on Sept. 28.

"JD Byers has been recruiting me since I was a freshman in high school. I have been down there. I really like the style of play. They like to shoot a lot of threes and I like to shoot a lot of threes. They also like to move the ball a lot. They have a lot of energy. It is a lot of good basketball down there. I did not get to see the full campus. I only got to watch a game when I visited so on my official visit I hope I get to see a lot more.

Young and Virginia Tech are up against it with Tom Izzo and Michigan State and Kevin Willard and Maryland also in the mix for Scott, but getting a commitment from him would be huge to add to a class that already includes Jones and Gurdak. Scott, the ninth-ranked small forward in his class and second-ranked in Virginia, would like to decide by November ahead of the holidays.
