Things have been picking up speed in the world of college football recruiting and that will be the case over the month of June. Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry has several recruits making official visits this month and there should be some decisions in the near future.

One recruit that the Hokies have been in on along with some of the other top programs is Faheem Delane, a four-star safety in the Class of 2025 who is the younger brother of current Hoikie defensive back, Mansoor. Faheem was in Blacksburg in April for the annual Spring Game and on Sunday, he announced his college decision.

Faheem Delane commits to Ohio State and head coach Ryan Day

In a not-so-surprising decision, Faheem announced that he has committed to Ohio State and head coach Ryan Day. It is a decision that was honestly expected as most predictions and the 247Sports Crystal Ball Prediction had had him committing to the Buckeyes.

The Our Lady Good Counsel High School star picked Ohio State over Virginia Tech, LSU, Oregon, Maryland, and several others. Last season, he had 69 tackles and 18 pass breakups as a junior. It shouldn't have been a surprise to Pry and his staff that Faheem chose to attend Ohio State and this is certainly a huge commitment for Day and the Buckeyes.
