Five-star Virginia Tech women's basketball recruit planning a visit to Blacksburg

Since being hired almost two months ago to replace former Virginia Tech women’s basketball coach Kenny Brooks, Megan Duffy has been busy building her roster for the 2024-25 season as well as her coaching staff.
The former Marquette coach has also been on the recruiting trail hosting several potential recruits and they could be getting a visit soon from a five-star Tennesse recruit from the Class of 2025 who de-committed after the Volunteers went through a coaching change.
Five-star Nyla Brooks plans to visit Virginia Tech
Brooks, from Alexandria, Virginia, will be setting up some visits once school is out for the summer. She told 247Sports that she is planning visits to Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech. Other schools that have reportedly reached out are Mississippi State, Clemson, Florida, and Ole Miss.
"A lot of schools across the country have been hitting me up, and I have good relationships with all of those, and I'm excited for what the future holds. I'm planning on visiting Maryland pretty soon along with UNC and Virginia Tech. I haven't really planned any visits outside the DMV area, but I'm going to go on some, though. These visits will come soon, so when school ends in a week or two."

Now that Brooks has reopened her recruiting, she will take her time in announcing her decision, likely sometime in the fall or winter. It would be surprising not to see Megan Duffy make a strong pitch to Nyla Brooks as it would be a big commitment for the 6-foot-1 player to remain in her home state for her college career.
