Over the next month, recruiting will pick up some steam for Virginia Tech head football coach Brent Pry. One recruit who will decide in June announced his final three schools and the Hokies are one of the finalists.

Class of 2025 Richmond, Virginia native and four-star defensive back Terrance Edwards announced his final three schools on his X account and Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Michigan State are the three schools. In fact, the Hokies are a favorite to land him when he announces his commitment on June 22.

According to 247Sports Crystal Ball Prediction, Virginia Tech is the projected school that Edwards will pick and he had an official visit in March. On3 Sports also has predicted the Hokies getting his commitment as well.

Edwards is someone who would benefit Virginia Tech’s culture and be a huge addition to the secondary and thrive under defensive coordinator Chris Marve and Pry. Back in April, Edwards spoke to 247Sports about a conversation that he had with former Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster.

"That was amazing. Coach [Bud] Foster is a legend. He told me he watched my film and I'm definitely a DBU and Lunch Pail Defense guy. He loves me at corner and wanted me at Virginia Tech. He put a lot of DBU guys in the league."

If there is someone who knows about DBU and the Lunch Pail in Blacksburg, it’s Foster after what he built during his time there.

Last fall as a junior at Trinity Episcopal School he registered 33 tackles, three interceptions, one for a touchdown, and 14 pass breakups.

Edwards has a visit scheduled to Michigan State from June 14-16, just about a week before he makes his official announcement. You can watch some of his video here.
